RABBIT-TOWN

The ANIMATING RABBIT-TOWN project culminated in June 2014 with the production of an original play about Rabbit-town that was performed at the historic Train Station on York Street in Fredericton, NB.  The script, which was the product of two years of research, collaboration and community inspiration was written by local playwright Ryan Griffith and Lisa Anne Ross and was a heartfelt exploration of the meaning of memory, community and family.  A mother and her brood wait for a son to return home from war, the Rabbit-town Circus works out it kinks and the fate of the Chesnut Canoe Factory swells like a spring thaw all seen through the eyes of local hero and Maritime music legend, Aubrey Hanson.
